Winner of the prestigious Irish Country House Restaurant of theYear, the AA’s Five Diamond Award and a member of Ireland’s Blue Book, Rathsallagh is a large four-star Grade A country house, converted from Queen Anne stables in 1798. Just one hour south of Dublin airport, Rathsallagh is set in a peaceful oasis of 530 acres of parkland incorporating Rathsallagh Golf Club. Its highly-acclaimed, rolling parkland course features thousands of mature trees, lakes, streams and excellent USGA-specified greens.
Designed by Peter McEvoy and Christy O’Connor Jr, Rathsallagh is demanding yet fair and, in the words of O’Connor, “a true championship course”.
Rated among Ireland’s top 100 golf courses, Rathsallagh is a must for golfers visiting the East Coast and can be played year-round. The Brendan McDaid Golf Academy offers the latest A Star computer-aided coaching and teaching system.
Family-run Rathsallagh House has a happy and relaxed atmosphere with log and turf fires in the bar and drawing rooms. The food is country house cooking at its best; game and fresh fish are specialities. Breakfast is an experience in itself – Rathsallagh has won the National Breakfast Awards a record four times.
