Golf Courses of Ireland’s Ryder Cup Region

Rathsallagh

Rathsallagh Golf Club is a magnificent course set on 230 acres of rolling parkland just one hour south of Dublin airport in County Wicklow. With thousands of mature trees, lakes, streams and excellent USGA specified greens, course has been highly acclaimed by the golfing press: “Augusts without the Azalea ... as good a layout and challenge as you will find anywhere in Irish Golf “(John Redmond ) . Designed by Peter McEvoy and Christy O’Connor Junior, Rathsallagh is demanding yet fair and in the words of O’Connor “a true championship course “.
Note: Rathsallagh is a four-star Grade A country house converted from a Queen Anne stables in 1798. Rathsallagh has been voted Irish Country House Restaurant of the Year and has won several other awards including the national breakfast awards a record four times!
