- Druid’s Glen Golf Resort in Co. Wicklow was voted European Golf Resort of the Year in 2005 (IAGTO – International Association of Golf Tour Operators).
- Headfort Golf Club in Co. Meath was voted All Ireland Club of the Year in 2004.
- The Irish Open was held in Ireland’s Ryder Cup Region in 2004 (Baltray, Co Louth) and 2005 (Carton House, Co Kildare). Carton House will provide the host venue once again in 2006!
- More than one quarter of Ireland’s 400+ courses are situated in Ireland’s Ryder Cup Region.
- Mullingar Golf Club - The Mullingar Scratch Trophy has featured in the lives of most of the current crop of Irish Tour players. Clarke won here in 1989, McGinley in 1991, Harrington in 1994, and Murphy in 1995. Presidents Cup Ireland team member Athlone's Colm Moriarty won in 2001 thus continuing Mullingar's association with Irish golf at its highest level.
